Further to our last client update on this subject, Amendment 13 of the Privacy Protection Law was published last night, 14.08.2024, in the Book of Laws (Booklet 3287).

Accordingly, the amendment will become valid on 14.08.2025, and as stated more than once by the head of the Privacy Protection Authority, the Authority intends to use these new enforcement tool immediately upon becoming valid.

We recommend making preparations in time, particularly inasmuch as technological and not only legal preparations are required.
