Adv. Gidon Even-Or, a partner in our firm’s Commercial Litigation Department, participated in the annual judicial forum by Dun’s 100 – ranking leading companies in Israel in the field of litigation, which was attended by leading lawyers in the field.
As part of the forum the following subjects, inter alia, were discussed: online legal discussion, recruiting millenial lawyers and the new civil procedure regulations.
On the possibility of conducting legal discussion by Zoom, Adv. Even-Or stated: “Despite the obvious advantages in the effectiveness of discussion via Zoom, I would not so easily waiver physical presence in court – which is important to achieve significant results in the discussions, even if these are seemingly technical discussions”
Even-Or further commented on application of the new civil procedure regulations that “there still is a vase difference in how the courts interpret the regulations, which created uncertainty during the short term. Various tribunals relate differently to the regulations – and it will take time to reach uniform interpretation.”
