The Supreme Court has ruled that the cellular companies shall be able to continue to operate transmission facilities in the antenna towers on the slopes of Ramat Golda, and this comes after reversing a ruling that was  made in the District Court.

In its verdict the Supreme Court adopted the position of the cellular companies – which was also approved by the Haifa District Appeals Committee as well as by the Haifa District Court – which determined that the purpose of the TAMA )National Outline Plan( is to enable the efficient establishment of cellular communication facilities. The Supreme Court rejected the position of the appellants who are of the opinion that TAMA permits the establishment of outdated communication facilities of the first generation only.
