At the beginning of the week, an isolation days plan for employees was approved by the Knesset Labor, Welfare, and Health Committee.
The President of the National Labor Court, Mr. Yigal Plitman, who serves as a special counsel to our firm, in an interview for ‘TheMarker’ in which he calls the State to fulfill its duty and finance employees’ livelihood by participating in the wage for workers’ days of isolation – both employees and self employed – in the absence of a defined entitlement under existing laws.
This interview is further to the opinion piece published a few weeks ago in ‘Globes’ in which Mr. Plitman called employees and self employed alike to take action and exhaust their rights vis à vis the National Insurance Institute requesting recognition of Covid-19 as a workplace injury.
