The department provides our firm’s clients with legal services that include accompaniment, representation and consultation in the fields of planning and construction.
The department team provides on-hand legal accompaniment to leading clients on the various sectors, such as leading construction companies, private entrepreneurs and other entities, including some of the largest infrastructure companies on the market, on all planning aspects related to the projects they are promoting, including the provision of opinions and planning inspections for project feasibility, approval of town plans and licensing procedures, representation with planning entities and as part of court proceedings.
The Planning and Construction Department accompanies hundreds of complex planning and licensing proceedings in the fields of infrastructure, housing, commerce and business. The department represents some of the largest entities, companies and entrepreneurs on the market on large scale, countrywide projects, including two of the leading communications companies.
- On-hand accompaniment of license applications, including the objections stage, on a wide range of subjects and fields, such as housing, business and commerce, communications infrastructure, technology infrastructures, quarrying, fuel stations, etc.
- Conducting litigation proceedings on matters of planning and construction, at all planning instances, including the National Council for Planning and Construction, district committees, local committees and the various appeals committees, as well as handling administrative litigation at administrative courts and the Supreme Court. The team is well acquainted and has excellent working relationships with the planning committees and local authorities in Israel.
- Handling business licensing, including representing clients in criminal proceedings related to business licensing, as well as criminal proceedings in the field of planning and construction.
- Conducting and accompanying proceedings related to betterment levies, and representation on proceedings related to betterment levies according to the third addition to the Planning and Construction Law, including with deciding appraisers, and various appeals committees. The team has handled many scores of betterment levy appeals including submission of administrative appeals to administrative courts, and has attained impressive achievements in the field.
In addition to the above, the department team is actively involved in legislative proceedings on matters of planning and construction, including emergency regulations in the field of planning and construction.
