Today marks the beginning of the professional advanced study program for lawyers on the subject of “Mergers and Acquisitions” academically coordinated by Adv. Yoav Caspi, one of the firm’s founding partners, and Adv. Buky Katzman, a partner in our firm, together with Hamidrasha – National Academy for Lawyers.

Lecturers in the program include: Adv. Assaf Lapid, a partner in the Commercial Department, CPA Motti Detelkramer and CPA Guy Rushtik from BDO, Adv. Rozent, Adv. Odelia Pollak, CEO of ESOP-Excellence and others.  The study program will deliver professional information on the subjects of purchasing shares versus purchasing assets; the sale/merger agreement – principles and various emphases; rules for due diligence; the company articles of association and shareholders agreement; labour laws and transfer of employees; taxation aspects of purchase merger and acquisition agreements; competition laws in merger and acquisition agreement; and the effects of the transaction on employee and official remuneration plans.

The Lawyers Advanced Studies Midrasha serves as the exclusive entity for the Israel Bar Association, operating nationwide and holding study days in the various districts of the Association.
