Gidon represents local and international corporations in complex commercial, corporate and shareholder related disputes.
Gidon has a unique expertise in cross border conflicts which carry international aspects. He represents local and foreign corporations in legal proceedings in Israel and has vast experience in international arbitration proceedings, including under the rules of the ICC, LCIA and the Swiss Rules of International Arbitration.
Among his recent activities, Gidon represented an international company in a shareholder dispute against its partner in a major water desalination project, represented an international software giant in a precedential proceeding in which the court was requested to order the removal of search results from all its websites worldwide, represented a medical equipment supply company in a lawsuit against an international company due to the termination of distribution relationship, represented a German manufacturing company in a proceeding in Israel against major Israeli industrial companies, represented a British distributor in a lawsuit against an Israeli manufacturer over a scam carried out against the former regarding the manufacturing and distribution of tens of thousands of face masks, represented a governmental company in a commercial dispute against a Belgian conglomerate and other cases.
Gidon has been a member of the committee for alternative dispute resolutions since 2021, and also serves as an arbitrator and mediator for various disputes.
Prior to joining AYR, Gidon interned at the Israeli Supreme Court and worked at leading law firms in Israel. After completing his master’s degree (LLM) at Columbia Law School and being admitted to the New York Bar, Gidon also worked at Carter Ledyard & Mulburn LLP, a law firm on Wall Street, New York.
Gidon also served as the Israeli representative of the ICC YAF International Arbitration Forum (2019-2021), and he frequently conducts conferences and lectures on international litigation and arbitration in collaboration with professional bodies.
Gidon was recognized by ‘The Legal 500’ international ranking guide that recommended his achievements in in the field of Dispute Resolution – Local Litigation and Arbitration. Moreover, Gidon was awarded a Next Generation Partner due to his achievements.
