Adv. Amir Amar, a founding partner and the head of our firm, participated in the Leaders in Law Forum held today by  Dun’s 100 – The Ranking of the Leading Companies in Israel.

The forum dealt with the main issues currently on the agenda of Israel’s legal arena.

The first topic to be discussed was the elections for the 21st Knesset. Adv. Amir Amar addressed the issue of the investigations against the Prime Minister and stated “The Attorney General should not take into consideration the date of the elections. If the case is ready and ripe for a hearing, even if it is three days before the elections, the State’s Attorney office should ignore the timing and do its job”.

The other topic to be discussed was the main challenge which awaits the next Minister of Justice. Adv. Amir Amar addressed this matter and emphasized that “Shaked was a good minister; she appointed ultra-orthodox and Ethiopian women as judges and promoted the issue of class action law suits. You may disagree with her, may tarnish her name as the lady who came to destroy the justice system – but this is not true. She believes in something and she promotes it”.
