Adv. Dana Battat, a partner in our firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, participated in the annual Association of Corporate Council – ACC Israel convention, in a panel on the subject: Managing Crisis in a Company.
The panel, officiated by Hagar Guri, Blue Square legal counsel, and with the participation of lawyers Zohar Landa (Barnea) Micky Eilon (Gornitzky) and Udi Artzi (S. Horowitz), dealt with the role of the legal counsel during management of a company crisis – what actions should be taken and how to do them.
Dana related to the issue of confidentiality and said that “lawyers have the super-power of seeing and not showing” – lawyer client privilege and document privilege preceding legal proceedings”. Dana explained that it is important to document the process of crisis handling, with the correct use of privilege and without waiver thereof, paying attention that documentation of the processes during crisis will serve litigation proceedings and lawsuits submitted in lieu of the crisis”.
ACC Israel is home to corporate counsels, providing them with tools through courses and forums to develop their careers.
We were pleased to participate in the convention (which was attended by 700 corporate counsels) yet another year, and to meet our dear clients and colleagues.
