The ICC YAF – Young Arbitrators Forum on behalf of the International Commerce Chamber, held last week a virtual toast with the participation of representatives from 15 countries, including: Israel, Morocco, Lebanon, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Bahrain, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt and others.
In the online event the participants talked about the passing year in the area of international arbitration and about continued joint work and collaborations among the countries’ representatives.
Adv. Gidon Even-Or, ICC YAF representative in Israel, said that while the passing year made it difficult to hold physical meetings, it actually facilitated the possibility of holding legal discussions from various locations around the globe. Today, when the entire world copes with similar challenges in view of Covid-19, globalization actually accelerates. In addition, and referring to Israel, the normalization with various countries that have been recently signed, will promote commerce and thus, international arbitration proceedings will become more frequent.
