Our firm represented M. Lesser on an application for class action approval in an 83.3 million shekels suit submitted against M. Lesser and other egg marketing companies at the Tel Aviv District Court. 

The application alleged that M. Lesser markets eggs marked as L or XL whereas their weight is actually less and they should have been marked as smaller with a lower price accordingly.

After conducting lengthy proceedings including submitting a response to the application for approval, experts’ opinions, investigative proceedings and summaries, the court rejected the application for approval, accepted all the M. Lesser arguments, adopted the experts’ opinions on their behalf, and determined that M. Lesser had acted lawfully. The court imposed on each applicant expenses of NIS 35,000 (totaling NIS 105,000).
