The Haifa District Court today issued a stay of proceedings order for the Moriah group, one of the largest nursing groups in Israel, after encumbering a debt of 947 million shekels. The stay of proceedings order was also given to the group owners. The significance is that it is not possible to open or continue legal proceedings against Moriah and its controlling shareholders.
The court also appointed lawyers Amit Lederman and Adi Figel as trustees of Moriah and authorized them to manage it during the stay of proceedings period. The court authorized the trustees to conduct negotiations to sell the group or companies thereof.
