Our firm held a webinar for legal consultants on the subject of ‘Crypto Investments; Nostro and Financial Instruments’ led by Adv. Shlomi Bardugo, joint head of the Corporate department, with the participation of Adv. Vered Pilichovski-Czyzyk, head of the Capital Market and Securities department at our firm. 

Adv. Bardugo reviewed recent occurrences in the Crypto industry, the crash of the FTX and the ramifications for the industry. 

In addition, Adv. Bardugo presented the Crypto coin as a security based on the USA Federal Court ruling of 7/11/2022 given by Judge Paul J. Barbadoro in Sec v. LBRY, Inc., and the court’s determination based on the Howey Test that the LBC is a security.

Adv. Vered Pilichovski presented the essential linguistic test of Crypto as a security in Israel, and Adv. Bardugo provided practical advice on how to avoid defining the Crypto coin as a security.
