The field of ADVOCACY on competition issues has been in existance in Israel for a relatively short period of time and its inherent potential has not yet been realized by companies active on the market.
Over recent years legal advisors and regulation managers in many organizations have been contending with a array of regulatory issues preventing them from competing freely, for example, strict threshold conditions that prevent the company from participating in certain tenders, or various restrictions concerning company activity by power of the Anti-Concentration Law. Restrictions sometimes exist due to over-regulation of the market that impedes competition.
So how can it be contended with?
We are inviting in-house legal advisors and regulation managers in those companies to an advanced study that will deal with the subject and be presented by Adv. Avi Grossman, head of Competition and Antitrust at our firm, and a former senior official at the Competition Authority.
During the advanced study a lecture will be given by Mr. Uriel Sitroen, Manager of the Markets department at the Competition Authority on the subject of: Advocacy as a tool to consolidate reforms in the Economic Arrangements Law, within which we will review the various tools and options available to legal advisors and regulations managers to contend with these issues.
